Konnech sues for its election hardware

On Thursday, Konnech CEO Eugene Yu sued the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office in LA Superior Court for:

  • $80 million, and

  • its hardware devices returned

Konnech makes election software in Wuhan, China, called PollChief.

It stores its customers’ data there.

To date, no hearings have been scheduled.

Konnech moved to Malaysia in Feb. 2022 to escape prosecution for:

  • embezzlement

  • fraud

  • money damages

The FBI has no authority to make arrests there.

Nor is testimony taken in Malaysia admissible in American courts.

Judge said “There could be warrants out for Mr. Yu.”
