LA DA has reopened the Eugene Yu criminal embezzlement case

His company makes PollChief election software in Wuhan, China.

At the recommendation of Homeland Security, Eugene moved his family and business to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Nov. 10th, 2022.

The hearing starts in one hour.

Today was the fourth time this month that a hearing on the Eugene Yu criminal case was heard.

The case was reopened on Feb. 1st.

He is charged with:

  • conspiracy to commit a crime, and

  • embezzling $2.6 million from the taxpayers of Los Angeles

Prosecutors dropped the case on Nov. 9th, 2022.
